Day 01 at Bangladesh Startup Connect 2025

On April 7th, 2025, I had the chance to join Day 01 of the Bangladesh Startup Connect 2025. The whole experience was full of energy, packed with sessions, conversations and takeaways that left me more focused and motivated.

The event was built to give a push to Bangladesh’s startup scene. It brought together founders, investors, leaders and dreamers in one space. Some of the big speakers were Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun, Sadia Haque, Shahir Chowdhury, Shish Haider Chowdhury, Tanveer Ali, Zahida Fizza Kabir and Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur. And there was also a video message from the CEO of LinkedIn which felt like a big highlight.

From the sessions I learned more about how the ecosystem is shaping here in Bangladesh. Why investors are slowly seeing this as a place full of untapped potential. How angel investments are rising. And also why timing is everything when it comes to raising funds.

One of my best moments was a one to one pitch with Ayman Sadiq from 10 Minute School. I shared my idea with him and the feedback I got was very honest and useful. It cleared many doubts and gave me fresh direction for the next steps.

I’ve tried many times before to start something and failed. This summit reminded me that failure is just part of the process, and maybe the next idea can be the one. I’m looking forward to the next days of the summit and staying close with the startup community here.
